Connecting Autolane & developer resources
Last updated: June 25, 2026
Context
You want to understand how Autolane connects to your systems, and where your technical team can find integration documentation if they need it.
Answer
For most retailers, the integration is already handled for you. Direct Delivery runs through your delivery orchestration partner (your DSP), and in most cases that partner builds the connection to Autolane directly. So for many retailers, there's nothing your team needs to build to start delivering.
What actually connects At a high level, two things flow between your stack and Autolane:
Orders out to Autolane. When an order is ready, the essentials are passed to Autolane — your customer's contact details, the delivery address, and the order's ready-by time. Autolane returns a delivery quote, and a delivery is created from that quote.
Status back to you. As the delivery moves from dispatch through completion, Autolane sends real-time status updates back to your systems via webhooks, so your dashboard and your customer's tracking stay current automatically.
That's the whole shape of it — you don't manage routing, scheduling, or the vehicle.
If your team integrates directly If you connect to Autolane directly rather than through a DSP, your developers have everything they need at docs.goautolane.com.
